probably one of the most annoying parts of trying to expand my circle of comrades is coming across someone who seems like a cool dude and you’re friendly to them and then they ignore you ‘cause they think they’re too cool or w/e or maybe i just offended them by telling them i liked their original stuff more than their fan art…… SIGH…….

it seems like I know a lot of people who have trouble using photo references with art… I think the big problem is that when they draw from a photo ref they try to copy the photo rather than study it. when you use a photo ref you need to actually look at it and think about the shapes/curves/angles/volume/form/etc and then incorporate that into your own work, not just drawing exactly what you...
