I’ve watched a good many trans*/genderqueer/neuter folk go off on people who were just naive. Not everyone is brought up with the knowledge that sex and gender are different, or that gender comes in more varieties than stereotypical male and stereotypical female.

It’s unnecessary to write 3 paragraphs of misaimed anger at someone who’s a little uninformed when it would contribute more overall to just type “google it” or give a link to one of the many, many websites on these sort of uncommonly-spoken-of topics.
