I’m doing human/gijinka commissions to help pay for my treatment.
I’m in an intensive outpatient therapy program for my bipolar and schizophrenia. Last night, I was admitted to the hospital for suicidal behavior, because I haven’t had access to my medication for six months. This program gives me access to medication for a reduced price, and to the therapy I require, but it still costs money. I’m not allowed to return to work for three to four weeks, and I’m self employed. You can understand how upsetting this is, that help is so close but that I will have no money. I’m trying to gather $300 to get me back and forth to therapy and to cover my medications and small bills that pop up.
I’ll be doing headshots for $10, halfbodies for $15-20, and sketches for $5.

You can feel free to skip past this little wall of text, but I feel like I should probably explain myself. I’ve always been apprehensive about taking commissions, because I’m always unsure about myself. However; due to recent circumstances it looks like I’m going to have to get my head in the game and start making some money off of my art. I’ll spare you the details, but basically I’m going to be housing a friend in a bad situation come the new year, and my household is already running itself dangerously close to over budget. We’re currently trying to save for a new home, and raise a 1 year old, so things are a little bit stressful. I’m a stay at home mom, since babysitting would make any minimum wage job practically meaningless in the end, so I have enough spare time on my hands to try and make this doable. These are going to be open for the foreseeable future, hopefully.
